Meet Lisa Scott

Founder of Accentuate Communication

 Lisa Scott is a nationally-certified speech pathologist with over 30 years’ experience in helping people from a variety of backgrounds develop the voice, speech, and presentation skills they need to succeed both at work and in the community. She helps researchers and scientists to speak clearly and confidently and tell the story behind their data so that they share their ideas with impact. 

Since 2009, Lisa has focused on working with professionals in the STEM fields to become more effective communicators.  She brings an understanding of the culture of both research institutions and  industry. She has been a repeat presenter for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and delivers workshops both in person and virtually at national scientific conferences including the National Biotechnology Conference, DIA, Women in Statistics and Data Science, and the American Society for Engineering Managers. She works privately with executives and top researchers from institutions including Microsoft, Harvard Medical School, Vanguard, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Her workshops and coaching help scientists and researchers to communicate the value of their work with impact to a variety of audiences.

Lisa regularly expands and improves her skills with certifications and trainings so that she can create engaging and interactive learning experiences that will foster higher retention and application. Her clients express their brilliance with clarity and confidence and as a result, achieve greater success with grant funding proposals and stakeholder presentations.
